Avocado Oil is a nourishing oil for the skin and hair. Avocado Oil is said to be rich in essential and trace minerals and Vitamin A. Its properties and texture makes it especially suitable for use in hair care. Due to its aroma and thick, oily consistency, Avocado Oil is typically used at a low ratio (highly diluted) in blends and formulations. It is a rich heavy oil, that is deeply penetrating and rich in vitamins A and D, lecithin, potassium as well as vitamin E. The crude Avocado oil is green in color as it still contains chlorophyll and is classified as a mono-unsaturated oil.

It is often used for clients with dry or mature skins, or people suffering from eczema or psoriasis, and is very useful when treating sun or climate damaged skin that is dehydrated and undernourished as it is said to help with regenerating the skin and softening the tissue.

  1. Promotes Faster Healing and Better Skin Quality. Vitamin A, D and E are all involved in skin cell growth and regeneration. Vitamin A and E have strong antibacterial and anti-inflammatory functions that promote faster healing of cuts and wounds, and prevent scarring, acne breakouts and dermatitis. They also give you natural sun protection.
  2. Moisturizes Hair and Skin. Avocado oil is a great source of lecithin. This yellowing fatty substance acts as a super emulsifier and lubricant. When applied topically, lecithin forms a protective covering on your hair follicles and your skin’s surface, effectively preventing the loss of moisture due to wind and climate damage. Avocado oil is also high in sterolin which can be used as a softener or moisturizer in hair and skin care.
  3. In recent years the avocado has gained popularity at both the dinner table and the bathroom vanity. More recently, avocado oil has been gaining ground as a legitimate natural acne skin care treatment. Avocado is frequently used in herbal skin care. This unique super vegetable is technically classified as a vegetable oil, but it is much different from the vegetable oil in your kitchen. This natural acne skin care product produces uniquely rich and penetrating oils filled with vitamin A, vitamin D, vitamin E, and lecithin. It is also filled with potassium, which is commonly referred to as the youth mineral. Avocado oil also contains beta-carotene, proteins, and more than twenty percent unsaturated fatty acids. These are essential for a great natural acne skin care.
  4. While many acne treatments dry out the skin to clear up the acne, avocado moisturizes while clearing up the skin. Avocado oil is an extremely deep penetrating oil. This is why it is such a great natural acne skin care product. Instead of just making your skin moisturized, it penetrates and is absorbed into your skin. Most moisturizers stay on the surface, causing your pores to get clogged and be unable to peathe. This is one of the main causes of acne-clogged pores. However, avocado oil allows your skin to peathe.
